The 2025 PFL welterweight tournament saw a major change before it even began as Magomed Umalatov missed weight, resulting in his removal from the competition. Umalatov weighed in at 173.6 pounds, exceeding the 171-pound limit during the 2025 PFL World Tournament 1 weigh-ins in Orlando, Florida. Stepping in as his replacement is alternate Joseph Luciano, who will now face off against Logan Storley in a welterweight quarterfinal matchup.
Thursday’s fight card, set to take place at Universal Studios Orlando and broadcast on ESPN+ and ESPN2, will feature the quarterfinals of both the welterweight and featherweight eight-man tournaments. Fortunately, the featherweight division did not experience any weight issues.
