Jasmine Jasudavicius is set to take on her toughest opponent yet in the women’s flyweight division as she faces Jessica Andrade at UFC 315 on May 10 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
The matchup was announced by UFC officials on Monday.
With a four-fight win streak, the 35-year-old Canadian fighter will be looking to continue her success after defeating former title challenger Mayra Bueno Silva in February. Since joining the UFC roster, Jasudavicius holds a record of 7-2, with her only losses coming to Tracy Cortez and Natalia Silva.
On the other hand, Andrade, a seasoned Brazilian fighter, aims to bounce back after a loss to Silva in September. This fight will mark Andrade’s return to the flyweight division after securing victories in the strawweight division against Mackenzie Dern and Marina Rodriguez.
Although flyweight has been challenging for Andrade, she is determined to make a comeback in May against the rising star Jasudavicius in her home country.
UFC 315 will feature two title fights, with welterweight champion Belal Muhammad defending his title against Jack Della Maddalena in the main event, and Valentina Shevchenko facing Manon Fiorot for the women’s flyweight title in the co-main event.
