The Players Championship is upon us, and all eyes are on Scottie Scheffler as he aims for a historic three-peat at the PGA Tour’s premier event at TPC Sawgrass.
Scheffler clinched the victory in the last two seasons on the Tour, first with a commanding five-shot win in 2023 and then with a one-shot triumph over Xander Schauffele and others last season, thanks to his impressive 8-under final round. If the world’s top-ranked golfer can achieve this feat once again, he will become the first player in history to secure three consecutive wins at the event.
This year’s tournament marks the fifth Signature Event of the Tour’s season, following the Arnold Palmer Invitational last week. It also serves as the final significant event on the calendar before the Masters next month.
