The dual roles of Keegan Bradley as both player and Ryder Cup captain continue to present a challenge for him. Rather than stepping aside and taking on a more advisory role, Bradley excels on the course, putting up numbers that would make him a strong candidate for the Ryder Cup team in 2025 if he weren’t already set to lead as captain.
His most recent accomplishment: sinking his second hole-in-one of the season with a precise 7-iron shot on the 153-yard par-3 13th hole at Sawgrass. The feat took place during The Players Championship on Sunday.
This ace adds to Bradley’s impressive tally, following another hole-in-one just last month at the Genesis Invitational:
He now stands just one ace away from tying the all-time record for PGA Tour holes-in-one in a season, a record set by Joe Highsmith just last year. With several months left in the season, Bradley has the opportunity to break this record, although his focus is likely on other important goals for the year.
At Sawgrass, the hole-in-one was a highlight of Bradley’s 2-under round, bringing him to 4-under for the tournament. He was sitting at T21 in the clubhouse when play was suspended due to lightning early Sunday afternoon.
