Manchester City staged a remarkable comeback to clinch a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth in the FA Cup quarter-finals at the Vitality Stadium. This win secures the reigning Premier League champions’ spot in the semi-finals for the seventh consecutive season.

The game kicked off with City applying early pressure and being awarded a penalty in the 12th minute after Bernardo Silva’s cross was handled by Bournemouth’s Tyler Adams. However, Erling Haaland missed the spot-kick, failing to break the deadlock. Haaland later missed another clear chance, sending a chipped effort over the crossbar.

Bournemouth capitalized on City’s missed opportunities and took the lead in the 21st minute through Evanilson’s close-range finish. City’s manager, Pep Guardiola, made a crucial substitution at half-time, bringing on Nico O’Reilly, who made an immediate impact by assisting Haaland’s equalizer in the 49th minute.

City continued to dominate, and Omar Marmoush’s goal in the 63rd minute completed their comeback. Despite Bournemouth’s efforts to level the score, City controlled the game and secured their spot in the semi-finals.

Looking ahead, Manchester City will face Nottingham Forest at Wembley Stadium, while Bournemouth can take pride in their performance despite the loss. City’s quality and resilience were key factors in their victory, showcasing why they are a force to be reckoned with in the FA Cup.
