Carlos Prates experienced his first defeat in almost six years on Saturday when he was defeated by Ian Machado Garry in the main event of UFC on ESPN 66.
Prates (21-7 MMA, 4-1 UFC) had been on a 10-fight knockout streak, but Machado Garry (16-1 MMA, 9-1 UFC) put an end to that with a unanimous decision in the welterweight contender matchup at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo.
