During the Pittsburgh Pirates’ game against the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park, a fan fell over the outfield wall and onto the track. The incident occurred in the seventh inning when a man in the right-field bleachers fell headfirst over the wall, flipping multiple times on his way down to the warning track, a fall of about 21 feet. The fan remained motionless for several minutes before being taken to a local hospital. Details about his condition are not yet known, as detectives are currently investigating the incident.
After a 10-minute delay, the game resumed, with players visibly shaken by the event. The Pirates eventually secured a one-run win. Both teams will conclude their series the following day.
Following the game, Pirates manager Derek Shelton expressed thoughts and prayers for the fan involved in the incident, thanking the medical staff and emergency responders for their quick response.
