Exciting news from the Professional Fighters League as they announce their first event in Africa on July 26th, featuring a special Champions Series showdown between undefeated fighters Johnny Eblen and Dakota Ditcheva.
Eblen, the former Bellator champion with a perfect record of 16-0, will defend his 185-pound belt against Costello van Steenis. Meanwhile, the 2024 PFL flyweight champion will face Sumiko Inaba in a non-title match.
The event will also mark the start of the PFL Africa section, which will kick off with eight-man heavyweight and bantamweight tournaments.
Eblen, coming off a successful title defense against Fabian Edwards, will now face van Steenis, who has been on a finishing spree with wins over Gregory Babene and Joao Vitor Dantas.
Ditcheva, the undefeated PFL Europe tournament winner in 2023, continued her dominance in 2024 with impressive first-round stoppages and a championship victory over UFC veteran Taila Santos.
Inaba, known for her time in Bellator, made a seamless transition to PFL and recently defeated Mackenzie Stiller in September 2024.
Stay tuned for the latest updates on the event lineup.
