BOSTON — Following another disappointing loss in their Eastern Conference semifinal series against the New York Knicks, Jaylen Brown sat quietly at his locker, deep in thought. A quote from Phil Jackson hung in front of him, reminding him of the importance of consistent success.

It’s a tough road ahead for the NBA champions after a heartbreaking 91-90 defeat in Game 2, putting them in a 0-2 series hole. The Celtics are now facing the challenge of winning on the road in Game 3 at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks have shown no mercy towards the Celtics, refusing to be impressed by their past accomplishments. As Kristaps Porziņģis bluntly put it, “Nobody feels sorry for us.”

New York once again mounted a remarkable comeback in Game 2, erasing a 20-point deficit and leaving the Celtics reeling. Despite a strong start, Boston faltered down the stretch, failing to execute crucial plays and allowing the Knicks to seize control of the game.

The final possession encapsulated Boston’s struggles, as they failed to get a shot off in the closing seconds, ultimately falling short once again. The Celtics’ inability to close out games has been a glaring issue in this series, and it has put their title defense in jeopardy.

Despite holding a commanding lead in the third quarter, the Celtics let their advantage slip away as the Knicks mounted a relentless comeback. Boston’s lack of composure and inability to make key plays down the stretch have cost them dearly in both games of the series.

As the pressure mounts, the Celtics must find a way to regroup and bounce back in Game 3. Learning from their mistakes and staying true to their identity will be crucial in turning the series around.

With their backs against the wall, the Celtics must dig deep and find the resilience to fight back against a determined Knicks team. It’s a familiar position for Boston, but the challenge of overcoming consecutive 20-point collapses will test their mental fortitude like never before.

Despite the daunting odds, there is a sense of calm among the Celtics camp, a belief that they can still turn things around. As they prepare for the crucial Game 3, the focus is on regaining their confidence, executing their game plan, and fighting until the very end.

As Jaylen Brown reflects on the tough road ahead, he remains optimistic about the team’s prospects. With a renewed sense of determination, the Celtics are ready to rise to the occasion and show the world why they are the defending champions.
