Andrei Arlovski is set to make his debut in bare knuckle fighting.
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship has confirmed that Arlovski will be facing Geronimo dos Santos at BKFC 76 in Fort Worth, TX, on June 21.
At 46 years old, Arlovski is a former UFC heavyweight champion who won an interim title at UFC 51 in 2005. He later became the undisputed champion after successfully defending his interim title against Justin Eilers at UFC 53. Despite losing the belt to Tim Sylvia, Arlovski had a varied career, leaving the UFC in 2008 only to return six years later. Arlovski recently made his Dirty Boxing debut, defeating Terrance Hodges in March.
Dos Santos, a seasoned MMA veteran with a record of 45-26-1, made his BKFC debut by defeating Aleksei Oleinik at BKFC 41 in April.
*Update* An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that this bout would be Arlovski’s retirement fight. This error has been corrected.
