Xavi Simons confirms transfer decision amid four-way Premier League race

Xavi Simons has reportedly made a decision regarding his future in the upcoming summer transfer window, amidst interest from top Premier League clubs and Bayern Munich.

Having had a successful season showcasing his potential, Simons sealed a permanent transfer to RB Leipzig for an initial fee of €50m in January.

However, with Leipzig missing out on Champions League qualification and the desire to progress his career at a larger club, a move seems likely.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Simons has made the decision to depart Leipzig this summer, with the Bundesliga informed of his intentions. The 22-year-old Dutch international could stay in Germany by joining Bayern Munich or venture into his fifth country of play.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool are all potential destinations for Simons, who rose through Barcelona’s La Masia academy, moved to Paris Saint-Germain, and had a breakthrough with PSV Eindhoven.

“I’m still young with many dreams – and the club is aware of that,” Simons hinted about his future plans last month. He suggested that a final decision on his next club will come after the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in early June.

Previously, it was mentioned that Leipzig, who are open to offers for striker Benjamin Sesko, could demand around €72m (£60m) for Simons.
