Manchester United’s hunt for attacking reinforcements has taken an interesting twist, as reports suggest they are eyeing Dan Ndoye.
Ndoye, a key player for Switzerland in the recent European Championship, impressed with a standout performance against Germany, scoring a goal and almost netting a second that was ruled offside.
Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Manchester United have inquired about Ndoye, who currently plays for Bologna.
Having previously played for Lausanne-Sport and Nice, both owned by INEOS, Ndoye is familiar to the club.
Manchester United will need to act swiftly if they want to secure Ndoye, as other Serie A clubs, including Inter, are also interested in him as a potential replacement for Denzel Dumfries.
The search for a right-sided forward intensifies for United following Antony’s disappointing performances since his big-money move from Ajax. With uncertainties surrounding Jadon Sancho’s future, the need for attacking reinforcements is pressing.
Ndoye’s stats for the previous Serie A season show one goal and two assists in 32 appearances. He joined Bologna from FC Basel in a £7.6m deal last summer.
Ndoye continues his Euro 2024 journey with Switzerland, who advanced to the quarter-finals after a convincing 2-0 victory over Italy.
