Sunday saw the final games in Latvia, Greece, Spain, and Puerto Rico to determine the full lineup for the event in Paris. Notable players like Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo were in action, with Antetokounmpo’s Greece team defeating Doncic’s Slovenia side.
In Valencia, Spain, the host team will face the Bahamas in the finals, featuring players like Santi Aldama and Deandre Ayton. Spain overcame Finland in the semifinals to secure their spot. In San Juan, Puerto Rico, the host team defeated Mexico, while Lithuania emerged victorious against Italy. Riga, Latvia, saw Brazil defeat the host country in the finals.
Teams competed from Tuesday to Thursday, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals on Saturday. The winners of each tournament will head to France for the Olympic basketball program, starting in Lille on July 27. Several teams have already qualified, including France, Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, Serbia, South Sudan, and the United States.
