Paddy Pimblett Ready to Make Bobby Green Tap Out at UFC 304
Paddy Pimblett is not just looking to defeat Bobby Green at UFC 304. He is determined to make him tap out.
The highly anticipated clash between Pimblett and Green is just around the corner at the upcoming pay-per-view event. Both lightweights have a lot at stake, with Pimblett aiming to maintain his flawless UFC record and Green having the opportunity to halt the momentum of the popular Scouser.
The rivalry between the two fighters is fueled by animosity, with conflicting claims on who initiated the feud. In a recent YouTube video, Pimblett asserted that Green instigated the conflict and issued a challenge to the skilled striker.
Pimblett addressed the situation, stating, “Bobby makes me laugh. Makes me laugh the way he keeps saying, ‘Paddy mentioned me first.’ Lad, someone reminded me about this yesterday. Remember when I was in San Diego with my wife? And you were sitting two rows behind me. Videoing on Instagram live the back of my head, talking shit about me. Didn’t have the balls to come over and say nothing to my face. So who was talking about who first, lad? Definitely weren’t me. You was talking about me in 2021, 2022.”
The verbal sparring continued, with Pimblett challenging Green to a grappling match to back up his claim of being unsubmitable. Pimblett, known for his grappling skills, aims to secure his 10th submission victory by defeating Green.
While Pimblett excels in grappling, Green has proven to be resilient against submissions throughout his career. With only two submission losses on his record, Green poses a formidable challenge for Pimblett.
Should the fight primarily stay on the feet, Pimblett is confident in his striking abilities, having prepared extensively for that scenario during his training camp.
Pimblett expressed his readiness for the bout, stating, “I feel the fittest I’ve ever felt. Everything’s starting to fall into place at the right time. Weight’s dropped quite a bit this week. Can’t wait to show everyone the improvements I’ve made over the last seven months since I fought Tony [Ferguson].”
Stay tuned for Pimblett’s UFC 304 vlog to witness his journey leading up to the event.
