UFC 300: ‘We’re probably gonna get sued’ after Arman Tsarukyan appeared to punch fan during walkout

Arman Tsarukyan emerged victorious in the biggest fight of his career at UFC 300 on Saturday night, securing a split decision win over former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira. However, it was an incident during Tsarukyan’s walkout that has everyone talking the morning after.

While making his way to the octagon, Tsarukyan had a physical altercation with a fan. Multiple videos surfaced online showing him initially reaching out to shake the fan’s hand before suddenly turning towards them and seemingly throwing a punch.

During the post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White addressed the incident with his typical mix of humor and confidence. "Yeah, you might not want to hang over things and grab people when they’re walking out," White quipped. "These guys are all hyped up, and I’m sure we’re probably going to get sued, but we’ll deal with that on Monday, too."

Tsarukyan also offered his perspective on the altercation after the fight, as reported by Bloody Elbow. "He showed me that he wanted to punch me, and I wanted to punch him back, that’s it," Tsarukyan stated. "No one shows me ‘f*** you’ like that, it doesn’t matter who you are, I’m going to punch you in the face."

Reflecting on his victory over Oliveira, Tsarukyan expressed his desire for a rematch against Islam Makhachev, the fighter who handed him his UFC debut loss in 2019. If granted the rematch, Tsarukyan may want to consider a more elaborate and rehearsed walkout routine to avoid any further confrontations with fans.
