The Boston Red Sox have been relying heavily on their bullpen this season, and following a recent trade for a minor-league reliever, the team has made another roster move after their series against the New York Yankees.
Today, Boston has officially sent left-handed pitcher Cam Booser down to Triple-A Worcester. No additional roster changes have been announced at this time.
Booser had just been called up from Triple-A on Friday to replace veteran reliever Chris Martin, who was placed on the injured list. During his brief stint, Booser pitched in one game, giving up only one hit and one walk over two scoreless innings.
So far this season, Booser has appeared in 27 games for the Red Sox, boasting a 3.00 ERA, a 2.90 FIP, and a 1.167 WHIP, with 34 strikeouts in 30 innings pitched.
