Excitement is building as Mike Perry prepares for his upcoming fight against Jake Paul in Tampa.
During the Paul vs. Perry open workouts, Perry caused a stir by knocking over Paul’s mascot after the mascot gave him a thumbs down during an in-ring interview. The incident, captured in the video above, seemed to be all in good fun.
Although the mascot was eventually escorted away by security, Perry remained tight-lipped about whether the altercation was planned or spontaneous.
Fired up and focused on victory, Perry declared, “I’m here for the W. I’m taking all the wins this week. You can’t trash talk me on social media and then expect to get away with it in person. This is real life, and I’m ready to show up.”
With determination in his eyes, Perry stated, “I’m here to win, to claim the prize money, to secure the victories, and to take Jake’s head home. Let’s do this.”
The highly anticipated eight-round boxing match between Paul and Perry is set to take place at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida on Saturday.
