Giancarlo Stanton of the New York Yankees is steadily recovering from a hamstring injury he sustained on June 22. Stanton had initially estimated a four-week timeline for his return when he injured himself rounding third base.
Manager Aaron Boone hinted that Stanton might be ready to play soon after the upcoming All-Star break. However, Boone did not specify whether this would involve a rehab assignment.
Stanton had been performing exceptionally well in the Yankees lineup before his injury, boasting a 120 OPS+ – his highest since the 2021 season. He had also contributed 18 home runs and 45 RBI in just 69 games.
While the Yankees are eager to have Stanton back in the lineup, they are also mindful of his injury history and will prioritize his recovery over rushing him back into action.
