Reports suggest that Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher is set to finalize a move to Atletico Madrid by flying to Spain on Monday.
Atletico Madrid made a successful bid of approximately £34 million for the England international, who has not extended his contract at Stamford Bridge and is set to join the Spanish champions.
According to Sky Sports, Chelsea is considering Celtic’s Matt O’Riley as a potential replacement for Gallagher, with interest from other top-six Premier League clubs last week.

Having been at the club since 2008, Gallagher had loan spells at various clubs before becoming a regular in the Chelsea squad in 2019.

Conor Gallagher England career
Gallagher made his senior England debut in a match against San Marino in November 2021 and was part of the squad for the 2022 Fifa World Cup.
He earned 18 caps under former manager Gareth Southgate, starting in a Euro 2024 group-stage game against Slovenia.
Although Southgate aimed to enhance England’s midfield by utilizing Gallagher as a defensive midfielder, he was substituted in a draw against Slovenia.
Gallagher also featured in England’s quarter-final and semi-final victories in Euro 2024.
