Terence Crawford surprised many by being the heavier fighter in his recent bout against Israil Madrimov, despite moving up in weight class.
The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) shared the fight night weight report for the event, revealing the significant gains made by the fighters before their matches.
Crawford weighed in at 169.8 pounds on fight night, a notable increase from his initial 153.4 pounds at the weigh-ins. This gain of 16.4 pounds was one of the largest among the fighters on the card, surpassing even Madrimov’s 14.6 pound increase.
The biggest weight jump of the night belonged to Steve Nelson, who added a remarkable 25.4 pounds to his weight, going from 167.6 pounds to 193 for his super middleweight match against Marcos Ramon Vazquez.
