Reports indicate that Lee Carsley is set to be appointed as the interim manager for the England national team for their upcoming Nations League matches against the Republic of Ireland and Finland in September.
Having previously led England to victory in the Uefa Euro Under-21 tournament in 2023, Carsley has emerged as a potential candidate for the permanent managerial position.
Prior to Carsley, Gareth Southgate served as the manager for both the England under-21 team and the senior squad, with his tenure ending after the Euro 2024 final defeat to Spain.
