Rangers serenaded with classical version of Creed’s ‘Higher’ while celebrating World Series title at White House

Despite a disappointing season, the Texas Rangers had a moment of celebration at the White House after their World Series win last year. President Joe Biden congratulated the team, offering a break from their current struggles with a 54–61 record in the AL West.

The highlight of the visit was a classical rendition of Creed’s “Higher,” a song that inspired the team during their championship run. Lead singer Scott Stapp must be thrilled to hear his band’s music echoing through the White House halls.

President Biden commended the Rangers for their resilience and determination last season, culminating in their World Series victory against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He praised their teamwork and perseverance, likening them to the band Creed in taking each other higher.

As a token of appreciation, the Rangers presented Biden with a personalized jersey and a pair of cowboy boots, eliciting a lighthearted response from the president.

For Rangers manager Bruce Bochy, visiting the White House is becoming a familiar tradition, having celebrated three championships with the San Francisco Giants in the past. He described the experience as a historic moment for the club, emphasizing the privilege of touring such a significant landmark.
