Patrick Beverley, a veteran guard who had yet to secure a new contract in NBA free agency, has decided to sign with Hapoel Tel Aviv BC in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. The 36-year-old player made the announcement himself on his social media feed, stating that the team offered him everything he asked for, making it an offer he couldn’t refuse.

Beverley agreed to a two-year, $4 million deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv, turning down offers from the Detroit Pistons and Houston Rockets for the NBA veteran minimum salary of $3.3 million. He expressed his desire to seek the best possible opportunity for himself in the game.

Despite facing a four-game suspension at the start of the 2024-25 season for an incident during a playoff game with the Milwaukee Bucks, Beverley remains focused on his career. Throughout his NBA journey, which included stints with various teams such as the Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Chicago Bulls, Beverley has played a total of 666 regular-season games, showcasing his versatility and skills on the court.

If this marks the end of Beverley’s NBA career, he will leave behind a legacy of hard work and dedication, averaging 8.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. His shooting accuracy from beyond the arc at 37% highlights his proficiency as a player.
