Brentford manager Thomas Frank has expressed his admiration for Fabio Carvalho’s impressive skills and hinted at utilizing the winger as a number 10 following his £27.5 million transfer from Liverpool, with potential add-ons included.
Southampton’s £15 million bid for Carvalho was rejected by Liverpool before the deal with Brentford was finalized. Frank envisions Carvalho playing in various attacking positions across the frontline.
“Offensively, he possesses exceptional ball skills. He can dribble past opponents, deliver precise passes, create scoring opportunities, and finish chances,” Frank stated on Brentford’s website.
“His optimal position is likely as a number 10 or cutting in from the left. He brings a unique dimension to our squad and will enhance our attacking options,” Frank added. “His work ethic and ability to perform under pressure are also commendable. He aligns with our team culture and character standards. We are delighted to have him join us and elevate the team’s performance.”
