Could Dodgers reunite with veteran hurler? Move would make perfect sense

Is it time for the Los Angeles Dodgers to consider signing a free agent in the near future?

Despite being one of the strongest teams in baseball this season, the Dodgers have faced significant challenges due to injuries. While their roster is stacked, pitching injuries have been a major setback.

One potential solution could be bringing back a familiar face in the form of former Dodgers pitcher, Rich Hill. After showcasing his skills for interested teams, reports suggest that the Dodgers have expressed interest in reuniting with him.

Hill previously spent over three seasons with the Dodgers, boasting an impressive 3.16 ERA over 69 appearances. Although he may not be at his peak performance level anymore, his experience and expertise could still benefit the team.

At 44 years old and with 19 years of experience in the MLB, Hill could serve as a valuable back-of-the-rotation starter or a low-leverage reliever. His addition would provide the Dodgers with affordable veteran depth.

While his stats from last season with the Pirates and Padres were less stellar, Hill remains a viable option for pitching reinforcement at this point in the season.
