Adrián Beltré was warmly welcomed by the Texas Rangers following his induction into the Hall of Fame, along with a surprise announcement. The third baseman was celebrated at Globe Life Field before a game against the Minnesota Twins, where he was presented with his plaque from Cooperstown and a cowboy hat. The ceremony included the usual honors for a player whose number had already been retired in 2019, but then Rangers announcer Chuck Morgan revealed something unexpected.

“Coming in 2025, National Baseball Hall of Famer Adrián Beltré will be commemorated with a bronze statue just outside of Globe Life Field,” Morgan announced.

Beltré will be the third player to have a statue at the 4-year-old Globe Life Field, joining Nolan Ryan and Iván Rodríguez as the only other players to enter the Hall of Fame with a Rangers cap.

The Hall of Famer recently shared with The Associated Press that he plans to focus on family and relaxation after a hectic month of events. Beltré expressed his desire to spend time at home and enjoy a well-deserved vacation on the beach.

At 45 years old, Beltré spent eight of his 21 MLB seasons with the Rangers, solidifying his legacy as a first-ballot Hall of Famer in Texas. Known for his exceptional defensive skills as a third baseman and consistent performance at the plate, Beltré earned numerous accolades during his career. Beyond his talent, Beltré was a beloved figure both on the field and in the hearts of Rangers fans.
