Chelsea are on the verge of securing Joao Felix’s return to Stamford Bridge, with a deal with Atletico Madrid nearing completion.
Having impressed during his loan spell with the Blues in 2023, Felix is now close to rejoining Chelsea after talks for Samu Omorodion fell through.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that negotiations for Felix’s return are in the final stages, with a verbal agreement in place with Atletico pending final details.
The deal will see Felix join Chelsea permanently, with personal terms agreed on a six-year contract until 2030, with a possible extension until 2031.
Reports suggest a fee of around £40m plus add-ons for the talented forward, who has been out of action for Atletico for over a year.
Felix, who moved to Atletico in 2019 for a record fee, will be a key addition to Chelsea’s attacking lineup.
The Portuguese star, who had a successful loan spell at Barcelona last season, is poised to make a permanent move back to Chelsea, becoming the club’s tenth signing of the summer.
Felix’s versatility and attacking prowess will be a valuable addition to Chelsea’s squad, as they look to challenge for silverware in the upcoming season.
The deal is expected to be finalized soon, with Felix set to reunite with his former teammates at Stamford Bridge.
