Exciting Women’s Flyweight Matchup Set for UFC’s Return to Madison Square Garden
Sources have confirmed that Viviane Araujo will face off against Karine Silva at UFC 309 on Nov. 16 in New York. The news was first reported by MMA Junkie.
Araujo is looking to bounce back from a recent decision loss to Natalia Silva at UFC Vegas 85 in February. Despite some setbacks, she did secure a victory against Jennifer Maia at UFC Vegas 81 last October. Currently ranked No. 13 in the flyweight division, Araujo is ready for her 12th octagon appearance.
On the other hand, Silva is riding a nine-fight win streak, with a perfect 4-0 record in the UFC. Her latest victory was a unanimous decision win over Ariane Lipski at UFC Vegas 91 in April.
