During the 2024-25 season, the New York Knicks appointed Jalen Brunson as captain, and his teammates put together a video to congratulate him on this achievement.

The standout moment in the video was OG Anunoby’s contribution.

While the rest of the Knicks addressed the camera with lengthy messages of congratulations and excitement for the upcoming season, Anunoby’s approach was quite different. His video lasted only two seconds, with most of his face out of frame, showing only his hair, forehead, and a portion of his eyes. In a monotone voice, Anunoby simply said, “Congrats, Jalen. Well deserved.”

It was a quirky and amusing moment coming from the typically reserved and shy Anunoby.

Brunson thoroughly enjoyed Anunoby’s video.

Speaking on his “Roommates” podcast with Josh Hart, Brunson expressed his amusement at Anunoby’s video.

“The OG video was one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while,” Brunson shared. “It perfectly encapsulates OG’s personality.”

On the day of the Knicks’ press conference announcing Brunson as captain, Brunson was spotted laughing at Anunoby’s video.

It’s clear that the 2024-25 Knicks are building strong camaraderie within the team.
