The Karachi Stadium was originally slated to host the second Test match against Bangladesh, but due to security concerns, the game has been relocated to Rawalpindi.
Naqvi emphasized the importance of ensuring that the stadiums are fully prepared ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy next year, despite potential changes in the ongoing season’s schedule.
“Matches may be rescheduled, but our priority is to have the stadiums ready for the Champions Trophy. We initially considered hosting matches without spectators, but security agencies advised against it,” stated Mohsin Naqvi, PCB Chairman as reported by ESPNcricinfo.
