Following a day of rest, the Boston Red Sox are gearing up to face the Arizona Diamondbacks in a three-game series at Fenway Park starting Friday night.
Brayan Bello will take the mound for Boston, while Ryne Nelson will pitch for Arizona in the opening game.

Bello has been solid for Boston this season with a 4.80 ERA and 1.41 WHIP in 23 starts. He has struck out 120 batters and has allowed three or fewer runs in his last seven appearances. Among the Diamondbacks, only Josh Bell, Lourdes Gurriel Jr., and Eugenio Suarez have recorded hits against him.
Nelson, on the other hand, has a 4.35 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in his 23 appearances (21 starts) for Arizona. He has struck out 101 batters and has given up two or fewer runs in three of his last four starts. Danny Jansen is the only Red Sox player who has faced him.
