Jessica Andrade is set to face Natalia Silva in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 97 on Sept. 7, with her sights set on a shot at gold in the near future.

The former UFC strawweight champion expressed her desire to challenge for a title in any weight class after her fight in Las Vegas, even suggesting the creation of a women’s BMF title.

Andrade mentioned potential opponents for this hypothetical belt, including Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Angela Hill, and Valentina Shevchenko, but emphasized her preference for a showdown with Jedrzejczyk.

With an impressive record of 17 wins and 9 finishes in the UFC, Andrade has defeated notable fighters such as Rose Namajunas, Mackenzie Dern, Amanda Lemos, and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

Although Andrade suffered losses to Jedrzejczyk and Shevchenko in title fights, she remains determined to secure another shot at a championship, potentially against Jedrzejczyk at 125 pounds.

Jedrzejczyk’s storied career includes memorable battles with Namajunas, Pennington, and Shevchenko, culminating in a retirement following her last fight against Zhang Weili.

Andrade is eager to face Jedrzejczyk in the flyweight division, believing it would result in an exciting and competitive bout that could potentially lead to redemption for Andrade.
