Ovince Saint Preux and Ryan Spann are set to face off at UFC 307 after their bout at UFC Vegas 97 was canceled.
The light heavyweight veterans will finally get their chance to fight, as sources have confirmed the rescheduled matchup. Saint Preux was forced to withdraw from their initial fight due to illness, leading to UFC Vegas 97 proceeding with a different lineup.
Saint Preux, a former UFC interim title challenger, has won two of his last three fights after a tough period in his career. He secured victories over Mauricio Rua and Kennedy Nzechukwu but suffered a quick knockout loss to Philipe Lins.
On the other hand, Spann has faced difficulties with three consecutive losses to Nikita Krylov, Anthony Smith, and Bogdan Guskov. His most recent defeat came via second-round knockout.
Mark your calendars for UFC 307 on Oct. 5 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, where UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira will defend his title against Khalil Rountree Jr. in the main event.
