The Premier League made its return over the weekend, delivering the excitement and drama we’ve all grown accustomed to.

Aston Villa and Crystal Palace staged incredible comebacks, Arsenal and Tottenham clashed in a heated north London derby, and Erling Haaland continued his scoring streak.

But what lessons can we draw from these matches?

Well, we’re here to share four key takeaways from the weekend’s action.

Unfortunately for Everton fans, it seems evident that the club is in trouble.

After a dismal start to the season, including a collapse against Aston Villa, it’s clear that Everton’s future in the Premier League is uncertain.

This predicament could have been avoided if the club had strengthened its squad in the summer, as they narrowly escaped relegation in the previous season.

As a result, Everton may find themselves competing in the Championship in the near future, playing in a new 52,000-capacity stadium.

The sudden interest in Jhon Duran during the summer transfer window may have puzzled many, given his limited playing time last season.

However, Duran’s impressive performances early in the current season, including three goals in just over 100 minutes of play, have justified the attention.

His standout goal against Everton showcased his talent and potential, making him an early contender for goal of the season.
