Caitlin Clark recently had a fun experience trying her hand at play-by-play commentary during a game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Philadelphia Phillies. The Indiana Fever rookie went viral after her teammate posted a TikTok of her imaginary broadcast booth debut.

While Clark isn’t planning to pursue a career as a baseball announcer, she did express interest in commentating a game for real after the positive feedback she received. She admitted that the experience gave her a newfound respect for baseball broadcasters and the challenging nature of their job.

In a statement shared by Matthew Byrne of ClutchPoints, Clark mentioned, “It was pretty funny, I messed up a few times, but that’s a hard gig! Also, I was out of breath and exhausted, so shoutout to all the commentators out there.”

Following her viral moment, both the Phillies and Brewers extended offers to Clark to join them for a game broadcast. The Phillies even invited her to the booth whenever she wanted, praising her commentary skills. Clark, who is a fan of the Phillies, Cubs, and Yankees, had previously joined the Yankees radio booth last month.

Due to her commitments with the Indiana Fever and the upcoming WNBA playoffs, Clark may have to wait until next season to make an appearance in a baseball broadcast booth. With the WNBA season wrapping up, she will be focused on leading her team through the playoffs before potentially exploring opportunities in the baseball commentary world.
