The spotlight of the golf world is currently on Canada for the 2024 Presidents Cup, where the American team is aiming for their 10th consecutive victory. The prestigious biennial competition between American and non-European international golfers is set to take place this weekend in Quebec. While the United States has historically dominated the Presidents Cup, the International team possesses the talent to potentially cause an upset in Canada.

The event will be held at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Quebec, Canada, which is hosting the Presidents Cup for the second time, with the first time being in 2007. Established in 1873, the Royal Montreal Golf Club is the oldest golf club in North America and has hosted the RBC Canadian Open on the PGA Tour 10 times.

Similar to the Ryder Cup, the Presidents Cup features four-ball, foursomes, and singles matches spread out over an additional day. The competition consists of 30 matches in total, culminating in a series of singles matches on the final day, following the four-ball and foursomes matches at the beginning of the week.

In the last edition of the Presidents Cup in 2022, the United States emerged victorious with a dominant 17.5-12.5 win over the International Team at Quail Hollow Club. The Americans, led by captain Davis Love III, will be looking to continue their winning streak in Montreal. The U.S. team boasts a 12-1-1 record in the history of the Presidents Cup, with their only loss coming in 1998 at Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Australia.

The U.S. team for the 2024 Presidents Cup includes players like Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, and Collin Morikawa, while the International team, led by Mike Weir, features Hideki Matsuyama, Sungjae Im, and Adam Scott. The tournament schedule and how to watch the Presidents Cup are also provided, with broadcasting details for each day of the event.

Looking ahead, the next Presidents Cup will take place in the United States in 2026 at Medinah Country Club outside of Chicago. The tournament will then return to Australia in 2028 at Kingston Heath Golf Club in Melbourne, followed by Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis hosting the 2030 tournament.
