Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that he is shifting his focus from individual awards to team success with Al-Nassr.

The legendary footballer, who has won the Ballon d’Or five times, has decided to prioritize helping his Saudi Arabian club achieve success both domestically and in continental competitions.

At 39 years old, Ronaldo no longer feels the need to compete for the title of the ‘best player in the world’ with Lionel Messi, especially now that Messi is playing for Inter Miami outside of Europe.

After a recent 2-1 victory over Al-Rayyan in the AFC Champions League, Ronaldo expressed his new mindset, stating: “It is not important for me to be the best player anymore. What matters most to me now is the success of the team.”

He added, “While scoring goals is satisfying, my focus is on helping Al-Nassr and my teammates secure wins. I no longer seek to break records, but instead, I aim to enjoy the game and contribute to the team’s victories.”

Ronaldo recently reached a milestone of 900 career goals, with his latest goal against Al-Rayyan being number 904 – a spectacular left-footed finish.
