The Los Angeles Dodgers Dominate the New York Mets in Game 4 of NLCS

NEW YORK — The Los Angeles Dodgers took control of Game 4 of the NLCS against the New York Mets with a convincing 10-2 victory at Citi Field on Thursday night. Shohei Ohtani, the standout player of the game, hit a leadoff home run and reached base four times in the first eight innings. Mookie Betts also contributed with a two-run homer and a double.

While Ohtani and Betts shined, the Dodgers’ lineup depth proved to be a formidable force. Max Muncy, filling in at first base for Freddie Freeman due to an ankle injury, set a new postseason record by reaching base 12 consecutive times at the plate in Game 4. This impressive streak included two singles, two homers, and eight walks. Muncy’s performance has been outstanding, and he seems to be in top form.

The win in Game 4 gave the Dodgers a 3-1 series lead in the NLCS, moving them within one game of clinching their first NL pennant since 2020. Muncy’s exceptional postseason batting line of .286/.474/.643 this year further solidifies his importance to the team’s success.
