The former FA chief, Palios, who acquired the club in 2014, declined to confirm whether the rapper, aged 36, was involved in the takeover during an interview with Sky Sports.
When questioned about the timeframe for finalizing a deal with Tranmere’s new owners, he responded with a grin, “ASAP.”
He mentioned, “It has been no secret over the last two years that we have been seeking investment for the club, although we are not officially on the market.
“This has been part of the strategy as we steer the club towards the next phase.
“While I cannot confirm whether A$AP Rocky is part of a consortium or not, there are several interested parties out there.”
