Two Bellator champions are feeling increasingly frustrated with the lack of fight opportunities since PFL took over in 2023.
Patchy Mix and Corey Anderson are both expressing their disappointment over the ongoing delays in booking fights, with no clear timeline for their return to action. Mix was particularly upset after his scheduled title defense in Paris was scrapped in October.
The next Bellator event is set for January in Dubai, featuring lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov defending his title. However, Mix was surprised to find out that he was not included on the card.
Mix took to Twitter to voice his frustration, stating, “I’ve been training my ass off for the last half of the year for nothing. This is frustrating in the prime of my career and I’ve had my fight in November cancelled? Then now again I’m being told I’m off the January Dubai card? I am the best in the world and I want to fight to prove it.”

Mix’s last fight was in May, where he defended his Bellator title with a split decision victory. His planned defense in November was canceled, leaving him uncertain about his next fight.
Similarly, Bellator light heavyweight champion Corey Anderson has been without a fight since winning the title in March. Despite rumors of a fight in September, Anderson remains on the sidelines.
Anderson tweeted, “Aging like warm cheese over here waiting for PFL to give me a call. But don’t get it twisted … we still ready to defend the strap against anybody! Young or old!”
Following the cancellation of the Bellator Paris event, PFL officials mentioned that it was postponed and fighters would be rescheduled. However, Mix’s return to action remains uncertain.
