Hideki Matsuyama continued his winning streak by claiming victory at The Sentry over Collin Morikawa. Matsuyama finished the tournament at 35-under, setting a new 72-hole scoring record on the PGA Tour. This win marked his 11th career victory and his third win in the past 10 months.

Entering the final day with a one-shot lead, Matsuyama’s exceptional performance included a career-best 11 birdies in a bogey-free round of 62 on Saturday. His impressive play throughout the tournament solidified his lead and secured the win.

Despite facing tough competition from Morikawa and Sungjae Im, Matsuyama’s stellar performance and unwavering focus allowed him to clinch the title. With top-ranked golfer Scottie Scheffler absent due to injury, Matsuyama proved himself to be a formidable force on the course.

Coming off a successful previous season that included two wins and a bronze medal at the Olympics, Matsuyama is poised for continued success in the upcoming season. With his current form and ranking, he is a strong contender for major championship titles in 2025.
