Santiago Ponzinibbio Looks Ahead to UFC Vegas 101 Co-Main Event

Santiago Ponzinibbio is gearing up to be part of UFC’s first card of 2025, aiming to compete four times this year. However, he is frustrated with his recent 1-4 record inside the octagon.

Ponzinibbio, who once had hopes of contending for the welterweight title after winning seven consecutive fights between 2015 and 2018, feels he was unfairly judged in some of his recent bouts. His only victory since 2021 was a knockout win over Alex Morono, surrounded by three split decision losses and one stoppage defeat.

The Argentine fighter expressed his determination to use his anger as motivation, focusing on his upcoming clash with Carlston Harris at UFC Vegas 101. He is eager to secure a clean victory and potentially set up a return at UFC 314 in Miami.

Looking ahead to a busy year, Ponzinibbio is open to rematches with fighters he believes he should have defeated. He is determined to stay active and aims to fight three to four times in 2025.

His opponent, Carlston Harris, is also seeking redemption in the UFC after a recent knockout loss. Ponzinibbio acknowledges Harris’ skills but remains focused on his own game plan, confident in his ability to secure a knockout victory.

Ponzinibbio emphasized his preparation for UFC Vegas 101, aiming to avoid leaving the outcome in the hands of the judges. He is determined to secure a clear victory, either by knockout or dominating the fight.
