Despite his long-standing contribution to the club with over 200 appearances, Walker, who was absent from the matchday squad, has expressed his desire to leave the Etihad after eight years.
Guardiola mentioned that Walker had previously shown interest in transferring to Bayern Munich following City’s treble win in 2023.
