Paul George says he’s ‘bored’ playing center amid Sixers’ injury woes

The Philadelphia 76ers’ Season Struggles Continue

The Philadelphia 76ers have hit a rough patch this season, with injuries plaguing their key players. Starting center Joel Embiid and backup center Andre Drummond are both sidelined, forcing Paul George to step up and play in the paint during a recent game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

George, who is more accustomed to playing on the wing, expressed his frustration with the new role after a 123-115 loss. He mentioned to reporters that he missed the fast-paced action of guarding perimeter players and preferred matching up against wings.

With limited big men available, George found himself playing alongside lesser-known players like Guerschon Yabusele and Adem Bona. Despite his efforts, the Sixers struggled to secure a win, currently sitting at 15-21 and 11th place in the Eastern Conference.

George, who signed a lucrative contract with the Sixers in the offseason, has been dealing with his own injury woes, missing the start of the season due to a knee issue. The team’s injury list also includes key players like KJ Martin, Kyle Lowry, and rookie Jared McCain.

As the Sixers continue to navigate through a challenging season, George’s versatility and willingness to adapt to different positions will be crucial in their quest for success.
