Arsenal has officially announced the appointment of Renee Slegers as their permanent head coach, succeeding Jonas Eidevall.
Slegers has been leading the team on an interim basis since October and has now been given the opportunity to continue in a more permanent capacity.
Currently sitting in third place in the Women’s Super League, Arsenal is seven points behind leaders Chelsea.
With a successful interim period under her belt, Slegers aims to guide the Gunners back to the top of women’s football.
In her first statement as permanent manager, she expressed her happiness with the decision and highlighted the team’s progress and unity.
