Renato Moicano may have already found his next opponent following his unexpected title fight appearance.
Moicano faced lightweight champion Islam Makhachev at UFC 311 on short notice, replacing Arman Tsarukyan. Despite being in fight shape, Moicano was submitted by Makhachev in the first round.
Paddy Pimblett, who has a history of exchanging words with Moicano, criticized him for tapping out to Makhachev’s D’Arce choke.
Moicano responded to Pimblett’s comments, sparking a heated exchange between the two fighters.
Paddy pimblitch is talking shit! Let me tell you something you gonna tap if we fight! You never got a short notice fight in your life imagine one day notice! #ufc #mma

The exchange continued with Pimblett claiming Moicano “quit” and Moicano challenging Pimblett to a fight without needing judges.
I’m not talking shit Renato I’m talking facts u tapped after like 2 seconds like a bitch only chance you’ll ever get to be a @ufc world champ & u quit like an absolute sausage! I’d make u quit just like Islam did you https://t.co/rDOYACDx3V

Moicano concluded the exchange by tagging UFC CEO Dana White and urging him to book the fight.
Both fighters have expressed interest in facing each other in the past. Moicano had a four-fight win streak before his loss to Makhachev, while Pimblett remains undefeated in the UFC.
Pimblett is currently available for a fight, and Moicano may be seeking a quick return to the octagon after his defeat at UFC 311.
