Scottie Scheffler is set to make his comeback at the upcoming AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, as reported by Ron Kroichick of the San Francisco Chronicle. This marks Scheffler’s return to the PGA Tour following a hand injury sustained while preparing Christmas dinner.
The injury necessitated a minor surgical procedure to remove “small glass fragments” from his palm, as confirmed by Scheffler’s agent.
Having not competed for over a month, Scheffler’s last appearances were at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas on Dec. 8 and the LIV vs. PGA Tour Showdown in Las Vegas on Dec. 17.
The injury forced Scheffler to miss the first three tournaments of the 2025 season. Initially planning to resume play at the PGA West in Southern California last week, he opted to withdraw to allow for further recovery time.
The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am boasts a field of 80 players, making it one of the PGA Tour’s premier events. Scheffler finished tied for sixth in last year’s event, which was shortened to 54 holes due to inclement weather.
Scheffler’s recent season on the Tour was remarkable, capturing seven victories including prestigious titles like the Masters and The Players Championship. He concluded the season by winning the Tour Championship and securing his third consecutive Player of the Year award, a feat previously achieved only by Tiger Woods. Scheffler’s consistent performance saw him not miss a cut in 19 starts and finish outside the top 10 only once before the U.S. Open in June.
Despite facing legal issues prior to the PGA Championship in May, Scheffler managed to finish T8 in the tournament, with the charges against him later being dropped.
