Adam Hadwin has made amends for his recent sprinkler incident at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club.
Just a week after comically destroying a sprinkler head out of frustration during the Valspar Championship, Hadwin took it upon himself to offer to cover the costs of repairing all the sprinklers at the course. Additionally, he sent a heartfelt video message and treated the course’s maintenance department to lunch.
During the second round of the Valspar Championship, Hadwin let his emotions get the best of him near the 10th green, resulting in the sprinkler incident after a double bogey.

Despite the mishap with the sprinkler, Hadwin’s actions were not the only notable incidents on the course that week. Patton Kizzire attempted to punt his putter in frustration before withdrawing due to injury, while Sahith Theegala threw his club down the fairway after a wayward shot but managed to salvage par.
On Sunday, Viktor Hovland emerged victorious at the Valspar Championship, securing his seventh PGA Tour win by overtaking Justin Thomas. Unfortunately, Hadwin missed the cut after a second-round 76.

Having only secured one Tour victory at the Valspar Championship in 2017, Hadwin’s season has been mixed with one top-10 finish at the WM Phoenix Open. Despite missing three of the last four cuts, he remains determined to improve his performance. Currently ranked 79th in the Official World Golf Rankings, Hadwin has taken steps to reconcile with the course where he achieved his first win.
