It’s been quite the rollercoaster at the Valspar Championship this year, and Adam Hadwin added to the drama at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida.
A video emerged on Saturday morning showing Hadwin taking out his frustration on a sprinkler head on the course during his second round. The impact was so forceful that the sprinkler head started spraying water all over near the 10th green, leaving Hadwin standing there in defeat.
Following a double bogey at the 10th, Hadwin finished the day with a 5-over 76 and missed the cut. This turn of events understandably left him upset, especially after a promising start to the season and a recent top-ten finish at the WM Phoenix Open.
Despite the setback, Hadwin’s wife seemed to take the incident in stride. This week at the Valspar Championship has seen its fair share of outbursts, with Patton Kizzire and Sahith Theegala also making headlines for their on-course frustrations.
As the tournament heads into the final round on Sunday, the unexpected and unpredictable nature of the competition in Florida continues to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
