Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is confident that his team is back in top form ahead of their upcoming match against Manchester United on Wednesday.
The Gunners have secured victory in their last three games after a rough patch and currently sit in second place, trailing leaders Liverpool by nine points.
Arteta expressed, “We are on a good streak and have regained momentum. The match against Manchester United will be significant and exciting.”
“It is still early in the season. Any team capable of stringing wins together has a chance. Anything is achievable,” he added.
While Manchester United may not be in contention for the title, sitting six points behind Arsenal in ninth place, Arteta believes reigning champions Manchester City should not be underestimated.
Pep Guardiola’s team is currently struggling and has dropped to fifth place, but Arteta acknowledges their potential to turn things around and continue winning with their quality.
Arteta is assessing the fitness of Gabriel, Mikel Merino, Thomas Partey, and Riccardo Calafiori before finalizing his squad, noting their eagerness to participate.
‘Saka’s Consistency is Key’
Bukayo Saka is set to feature prominently after his impressive performance with two assists and a goal in Arsenal’s recent 5-2 victory over West Ham.
Saka has been a standout player, both scoring and assisting in four different Premier League matches this season. Arteta attributes his success to his consistency.
“There has been noticeable progress in Bukayo’s performance,” Arteta remarked.
“We are witnessing a consistent improvement in Bukayo every season. He continues to elevate his game and strive for excellence. His hunger for success is commendable,” Arteta concluded.
